Michael Pinches - Club Bike Rider at Oulton Park and Cadwell Park

"I had the pleasure of riding the club bike at Oulton Park; the closest I'm going to get to feeling like a factory motorcycle racer! I was made to feel extremely welcome by everyone, from Len phoning me before the race weekend to discuss my experience and bike set up preferences, and looking after me all weekend, to the racers in the paddock who were so friendly and encouraging.

After a day getting used to my first ride on a two stroke since hitching a lift on my Dad's race bike in the paddock 30 years ago I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of qualifying and racing the bike. It couldn't have been better set up and the overall experience was absolutely amazing. Thanks to everyone involved and for anyone thinking of giving it a go I would definitely say go for it, you won't regret it!"

Tess Bickerstaff - Snetterton 300 Club Bike Rider

"When I was told there was a hire bike to go racing on I was really intrigued, I'd not raced for 8 years and wasn't sure if I wanted to invest again, so my friend walked me up the paddock at Snet to see the guys of Rent-A-Racer!!! Len was instantly enthusiastic, despite just about to send a rider out, he still spoke to me about the club bike and all the assistance I'd get and I left feeling like I could actually do this! So I signed up. A year later at the same meet, Snetterton, I was blessed with great weather but an even greater team.

I'd not ridden a two stroke since 1988, I was so nervous but Len and Pete were just so good, they sorted the bike, they sorted my head, they did everything, all I had to do was throw my leg over it and try and keep it pinned.

Despite me being at the back of the grid they made me feel like Rossi, I was always greeted with smiles and back pats when I came back in, and the team support from the rest of the YPM riders was really great, it was the best weekend, I improved, and we laughed A LOT!

Mark Haig- Club Rider

I finally gave the YPM club bike a go in July '24 after numerous racers kept telling how I'd love it and to move away from my Aprilia rs250's. Although the Aprilia's are lovely bikes, let's just say reliability had been a bit of a lottery. I instantly felt at home on the club bike and was made so welcome and felt like a pro in the paddock. My results at Cadwell proved to me what I was missing out on gaining two Clubman wins and a 2nd place. I was grinning ear to ear that weekend, a fellow YMP'er said he'd never seen me smile so much. If you are considering a change of class or love racing 2strokes you won't find a more welcoming club and fantastic close racing throughout the grid. So glad I gave the club bike a go which led me onto to joining the series in 2025, best racing season I've had to date. Thanks Yamaha Past Masters
