Den Grant:
The Technical Guru
Although long since retired from YPM racing, you'll find Den at every meeting in race control as one of the clerks of the course. Den is the first point of call for prospective club bike pilots and offers technical services to the YPM paddock. He's got a spray booth and he knows how to use it!

Len Whalin:
Chief Technical Advisor
Len's been racing since 1986. He offers sound technical advice and services across the paddock. He maintains and runs the club bike and is the main point of contact for club bike riders at the race meetings. If you have any technical queries, Len is your man.
Len has been around the scene sine the incarnation of YPM in 2000, he raced himself for many years. Recently the ran the club bike for 9 years and now like Dougie he crew chiefS up and coming riders on his bikes.

Pete "Fish" Fish:
The Driving Force
Fish has been racing since 1995 on a shared KR1S before moving on to an RGV250 but his love for YPM started when he bought his first TZR250 in 1998, and has been a driving force behind YPM for as long as anyone can remember. He oversees the co-ordinator team with his vast knowledge, experience, and fair reasoning. Our token Scouser and always good to visit for "One for the road…"

Paul Whitby:
The Club Liaison
Paul started his racing career with YPM in 2011. He quickly rose through the ranks and has been at the pointy end of the field for a number of years.
Paul is the liaison between the club riders and BEMSEE. He has been in this role for the last six years.
After years of perserverance Paul obtained his first race win at Snetterton in 2025.

Nickie:
Blue Hair - Small - Bonkers
Looks after the memberships and our wonga. You'll find her on a corner waving flags. Our club graffiti artist who has left her trademark tag of "I love Fish" at every marshal post.

Nellie:
The Merch Man
Racing with YPM since 2008 on a bike he 'borrowed' from his girlfriend at the time. He still has the bike but the girlfriend has gone. Dodged a bullet there! Enjoys the dubious distinctions of being the second oldest rider in the class and being one of very few who tips the scales at more than his bike.
He now runs our merch section, along with his own motorcycle spares business called Farkham Hall Village Stores so check him out and send some business his way.

Dougie Edmondson:
One of a kind...
Dougie is one of our longest standing racers, having started in 2008.
He coordinates many aspects of running the club always with the interest of the riders at centre point, having raced and attained the championship in 2019 his experience and input is vital to maintain a balanced view to help keep the classes competative and fair for all riders.
Dougie keeps the tradition of old school YPM, where you rode hard and partied harder, find him in the paddock with fag in hand, and crew chiefing his own bikes now for up and coming riders, whilst still competing in sidecars in the BEARS racing class.

Martin Pearson:
Creative input
Racing with YPM since 2008.
He helps with sponsorship, created the King of the Mountain Trophy which is given at Cadwell park, it is a one off trophy at this round to the person who accumilates the most points for the Saturday racing. Martin has a lot of creative ideas within the club to keep it interesting and financed.

Dave Ball:
Senior Technician and Instructor
Racing with YPM since.... TBC
Dave currently hangs out at the sharp end, regularly battling and winning. He is a club instructor, helping up and coming riders find their line, whilst also maintaining the club bike #100 to a phenomenol standard, co running it with Tess.

Tess Bickerstaff:
Club Bike Crew Chief
Racing with YPM since 2022.
First raced in 2013 in the F400's, spent most of the time fixing the bloody thing than riding it! From stealing the local lads Crunchies as a 12yr old to being a Motorcycle courier in the 90s, to razzing her ZX10 around Euro tracks and now running our very own club bike, bikes have been a big part of her life, Oh, and Mustangs, she had a 68' Mustang, she's quite the petrol head.
"Yamaha Past Masters isn't just a club; it's a family. The support and camaraderie are unmatched, and it's all thanks to the incredible people behind it!"
